Bully Advice for Kids

Here are some quick ways to say no to online bullying.

  • Keep your details on the down-low – Protect your mobile number and user names so that you can make sure that only people you trust can contact you.
  • Stay secure – Don’t give out your PIN or pass-codes to any of your friends.
  • Stay private – Make the most out of the privacy settings on your social media accounts. The last thing you want is everyone at school seeing that embarrassing post your friend tagged you in.
  • Don’t participate – Bullies thrive on attention, even if it’s negative. If someone is bullying you online, the best thing you can do is ignore them. Save any offensive messages and then unfriend or block them.
  • Don’t go it alone – If something’s wrong, talk to an adult about what’s happening. You won’t get in trouble and you might find it helps to talk about it.
